Enya was brought to the U.S. from Germany by Susanne Cummings of Monchsberg Berners in Virginia, after which Sue Brightman of Arundel Berners in Leroy, New York raised her and put her champion title on her. Due to her wolfpack instinct, Enya could not tolerate being in the presence of another bitch in season. So Lynn Nelson
of Kitzbuhel Kennels in Caledonia, New York took her in under co-ownership with Sue. Enya was the sweetest Berner we've ever known. She loved people so much she figured out how to lie on them so they couldn't get away. Her personality invited a large number of nicknames: Schlinker, Dink, Dinkery Doo, De Doo, Nutsy, and Dirt Ball (she was a digger), to name a few. Our boys and girls miss her very much and we still feel her presence at Kitzbuhel Berners.
